Attorney for Sen. Virgil Smith calls his ex-wife the obvious aggressor

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged state Sen. Virgil Smith with four crimes in connection with a shooting incident about 1 a.m. Sunday at the 35-year-old’s Detroit home.
