Bay City Commission president to vote for forgiving water bill discrepancies; measure expected to pass
Bay City Commissioner Christopher Girard, 6th Ward, initially said he wouldn’t vote on a resolution to forgive water billing discrepancies above 10 units of water or a resolution to use a modified version of the city’s existing policy because of his roll as a landlord who owns 20 properties in the city. After hearing from constituents and discussing the matter with the city’s attorney, however, he has decided to vote at the Monday, Dec. 15, meeting.
